Apex Log Lens — Privacy Policy

By Cloud Connected · Last updated: June 2026

What the extension does

Apex Log Lens helps Salesforce admins and developers understand errors. It reads Apex debug logs from the Salesforce org you are currently logged into, highlights and parses errors, lets you delete logs, and can open your own AI chat (ChatGPT) pre-filled with error text you choose to analyze.

Data we collect

None. Apex Log Lens has no backend server. The extension does not collect, store, sell, or transmit any of your data to Cloud Connected or to any third party. All processing happens locally in your browser.

Data the extension accesses (locally)

To call your Salesforce org's API on your behalf, the extension reads your active Salesforce session cookie within your browser. It reads Apex log content from your org. This information is used only to display, parse, download, or delete logs at your request, and is never sent anywhere by the extension.

AI analysis

When you click "Analyze in ChatGPT" or use the right-click "Explain this Salesforce error" menu, the selected error text is placed into a chatgpt.com link that opens in your browser. At that point you are sending that text to OpenAI under your own ChatGPT account and OpenAI's terms. The extension does not contain, request, or use any API keys, and uses no AI provider of its own.

Log deletion

The "Clear logs" action permanently deletes ApexLog records from your Salesforce org. It runs only after you explicitly confirm.

Permissions
